How to fight in a virtual world?
In the IFSCL, battles unfold according to a turn-based combat system and are triggered automatically when two entities from opposing camps (most of the time monsters and Lyoko warriors) encounter each other within a territory. The 'Combat' window then opens automatically, allowing you to follow the confrontation in detail.
Step 1: Preparing for battle
The more you know about your opponents, the more precisely you can plan your attack. The 'Virtual Map' is your best asset for identifying the type and number of enemies you must face.
Each symbol represents a monster on the 'Virtual Map'. Click on the monsters to attach the map camera to them. You can then track their movements more easily.

Each type of monster (kankrelat, krabe, manta, etc.) has its own unique symbol. This symbol is displayed when you hover over or click on a monster on the 'Virtual Map'. Open the 'Virtual Map Legend' window to associate a symbol with its corresponding monster type.

You can instruct a Lyoko warrior to move toward a monster located in the same territory via the
'Monsters'tab of their respective 'Com. Map'.
Step 2: Fighting your enemies
Once a battle begins, a 'Combat' window opens so you can follow the fight. The control of the Lyoko warriors participating in the battle, however, is managed through their respective 'Com. Map'.
Each participant in a battle has their own map displayed on the left (friendly camp) or right (enemy camp) depending on their side. The top section of the map shows a portrait of the entity it represents. The bottom section displays the entity’s health points and action points bars.
Health Points
The first bar represents the 100 maximum health points an entity can have. If a unit loses all its health points, it is destroyed.Action Points
The second bar represents the 8 maximum action points an entity can have. These points are used to perform powerful attacks or use special abilities in battle.

When it is an entity’s turn to act, its map advances to the center of the 'Combat' window. You then have a limited time (represented by the orange gauge at the bottom of the window) to choose the action the entity will take in its 'Com. Map' (attack, sacrifice, special ability, etc.) as well as the target to aim for.

Once the action is chosen, the targeted entity (or entities) moves forward, and the effect of the action is applied.

Once all characters in your camp have acted, it is the enemies’ turn to take their actions one by one.

The battle ends when all entities of one of the camps are eliminated.
