How to decrypt Franz Hopper’s Journal?

Requirement:

Decrypting the journal of Franz Hopper is a secondary objective in the game. It grants access to the video files he recorded while creating Lyoko and XANA.

Step 1: Prepare the lyoko warriors

First, gather several lyoko warriors to protect the tower you intend to use. Place Aelita on the second floor of the tower so she is ready to launch the decryption program.

  1. Gather the lyoko warriors in front of a transfer tower (No. 1 or No. 10) from the 'Movement' tab of their 'Com. Card'.

  2. Have Aelita enter the tower using the 'Enter Tower' option available in the 'Actions' tab of her 'Com. Card'.

  3. Instruct Aelita to go up to the second floor of the tower using the 'Go Up Tower' option in her 'Com. Card'.

Step 2: Prepare the Tower

Once the characters are in position, take control of the tower to disable its inhibitors and unlock the journal decryption program.

Activate the tower for your use

  1. Initialize the energy transfer program.

  3. Take control of the tower by injecting energy into it. The Superscan should automatically open and target the tower you just activated.

    What if the Superscan doesn’t open?

    1. Open the Superscan.

    2. Run a search to locate the tower you activated.

      Note:

      If the program closes after the search, it means no tower is under your control.

Disable the tower’s inhibitors

  1. Once the activated tower is targeted by the Superscan, you can access the inhibitor control program.

Step 3: Decrypt the Journal

Once the tower’s inhibitors are disabled, all that remains is to launch the journal decryption program and hold your position until the process completes, defending against XANA’s attacks.

  1. Launch the decryption program using the 'Decrypt Journal' option available in Aelita’s 'Com. Card'. The decryption progress percentage is displayed in the Superscan window.

  2. Protect the tower
    If the tower is destroyed or if XANA steals its control from you, you will have to restart the entire DNA correction procedure from scratch.

    • XANA will attempt to destroy the tower you control using Megatanks. Protect it by destroying the monsters. The health points of a tower are displayed via the orange gauge on the right of the 3D model of the tower in the Superscan.

    • The computer virus will attempt to steal control of the tower by injecting energy into it. Ensure you always have more energy than XANA by reinjecting energy. The energy injected by each entity into a tower is shown in the Superscan window.

      Note:

      If he is alive, Franz Hopper will assist you once 85% of the decryption is complete by taking control of the tower you activated. This will block any attempt by XANA to steal it.
