[Tuto] Building the SkidbladnirHow to build the Skidbladnir

How to build the Skidbladnir

The building of the Skidbladnir and its navskids was created as an internal IFSCL mini-game. We strongly advise you to study the inventory's books, in order to find yourself the necessary codes and values to build the virtual submarine. Get to the inventory through the radial menu (right-click), then open the 'Book' section .

Step 1: Skidbladnir configuration

The first step is to configure the Skidbladnir's main hull with the virtual builder.

Preloading the Skidbladnir
  1. Open the 'Virtual builder'.

    build

    buildSkid_01
  2. Preload the Skidbladnir's building parameters.

    build.skid

    buildSkid_02
Configuring the Skidbladnir
  1. Configure the Skidbladnir's building code.

Where is the Skidbladnir's building code?

The Skidbladnir's building code is on the page 245 of the Moby Dick book.

    buildSkid_book_code

    skid.code.<BuildingCode>
    skid.code.35S58B (example)

    buildSkid_03
  2. Configure the Skidbladnir's bipolar coordinates.

Where are the Skidbladnir's bipolar coordinates?

The Skidbladnir's bipolar coordinates are on the page 235 of the Moby Dick book.

    buildSkid_book_crdBipolar

    skid.crdbipolar.<CrdX>.<CrdY>
    skid.crdbipolar.834.879 (example)

    buildSkid_04
  3. Configure the energy allocated to the Skidbladnir.

    skid.energie.1000

    buildSkid_05
  4. Configure the Skidbladnir's modules building order.

What is the modules configuration's order?

When building the submarine, you must configure in a precise order each one of the 10 Skidbladnir's modules. This order is designated by the 3 post-its green, blue and yellow which are in the Moby Dick book. Each post-it designates in a certain order the book pages on which to find the submarine's modules.

    Order 1

The green post-it on the book's first page indicates the configuration order of the submarine's first four modules (main axis, stabilisers, shields and propulsors). The post-it designates the number of the chapter on which the module's name is.

    buildSkid_book_ordre_1
    Order 2

The blue post-it on the 561 page indicates the configuration order of the submarine's 5th, 6thand 7th modules (torpedoes, retrobrakes and clamps).

    buildSkid_book_ordre_2
    Order 3

The yellow post-it located on the 203 page indicates the configuration order of the submarine's 8th, 9thand 10th modules (digital key, sonar and turbohelix).

    buildSkid_book_ordre_3

    skid.ordre.<Module>
    skid.ordre.propulseurs (exemple)

    buildSkid_06

Step 2: Navskids configuration

Once the Skidbladnir's main hull is configured, you have to build the 4 navskids.

Preload a navskid
  1. Preload the navskid's building parameters in the virtual builder.

    Note:

Each navskid is associated with a colour. The X variable corresponds to the navskid colour's first letter.

    • NavskidP - Purple Navskid
    • NavskidY - Yellow Navskid
    • NavskidS - Silver Navskid
    • NavskidR - Red Navskid

    build.navskid<X>
    build.navskidP (example)

    buildSkid_07
Configuring navskids
  1. Configure the navskid's building code.

Where is the navskids' building code?

The 4 navskids' building code can be found in the 20,000 leagues under the sea book.

    Purple navskid

The purple navskid's building code is on the post-it on the page 371 of the 20,000 leagues under the sea book.

    buildSkid_book_navskid_purple
    Yellow navskid

The yellow navskid's building code is on the post-it on the page 300 of the 20,000 leagues under the sea book.

    buildSkid_book_navskid_yellow
    Silver navskid

The silver navskid's building code is on the post-it on the page 266 of the 20,000 leagues under the sea book.

    buildSkid_book_navskid_silver
    Red navskid

In order to find the red navskid's building code, get to page 390 of the 20,000 leagues under the sea book in order to find the code number (1, 2 or 3).

After that, go to page 373 and find the code linked to the number you have found on page 390.

    buildSkid_book_navskid_red

    navskid<X>.code.<Buildingcode>
    navskidY.code.48N79Y

    buildSkid_08

Step 3: Skidbladnir compilation

Once the main hull and the 4 navskids are configured, you can start to compile the Skidbladnir.

  1. Check the configured parameters with a building simulation.

    Warning:

If there is an error in one or more parameters, an anomaly window will indicate the problem origin.

    build.sim

    buildSkid_09
  2. Start to compile the Skidbladnir.

    Note:

Speed up the time in game by clicking on the calendar's clock, which you can access through the radial menu (right-click).

    build.compile

    buildSkid_10
  3. Once compilation is over, start the Skidbladnir's build.

    Warning:

    build.exe

    buildSkid_11

Étape 4 : Completing the Skidbladnir

Once the Skidbladnir built, you still have to supply it with a huge energy quantity from the Megascan to complete its build.

Preparing the energy transfer program
  1. Open the energy transfer program.

    transm

    buildSkid_12
  2. Set the program in 'Combine' mode.

    transm.mode.combine

    buildSkid_13
  3. Select 4 towers you have already scanned and which are on a surface sector.

    transm.to.<Sector>.<NumTower> (x4)
    transm.to.mountain.1 (example)

    buildSkid_14
Send the energy to the Skidbladnir

Note:

You must have entered the build.exe command to terminate the Skidbladnir build.

  1. Target the Skidbladnir with the energy transfer program.

    transm.skid

    buildSkid_15
  2. Activate the 4 towers, in order to activate the Megascan and complete the Skidbladnir's build.

    transm.exe

    buildSkid_16
